Michael Fonstein

Michael Fonstein of Cleveland Biolabs talks with Joyce about a new drug that protects humans from the effects of radiation. The United States and other countries have been investing in this technology primarily for defense purposes, but medically it can also serve to assist in reducing the harmful effects of radiation from diagnostic and therapeutic imaging. Dr. Fonstein is the former director of the DNA sequencing center at the University of Chicago.
